Mayaya Sanitation Services was founded in Kisumu County with a simple yet profound mission: to address the pressing sanitation challenges faced by communities in Western Kenya and the rural regions of the country at large. Recognizing the dire need for reliable waste management solutions, our founder, Collince Otieno Owidi, envisioned a company that could transform lives through innovative sanitation practices and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
Establishment and Early Focus
In its early days, Mayaya Sanitation Services focused on providing essential pit emptying services to underserved areas. With just a small team and a single tanker, we worked tirelessly to build trust and deliver impactful solutions to the communities we served.
